How my parents met
Havildar Siddique, as he was known in his outfit was a very energetic and strong soldier. He was famous for his uprightness and honesty in his outfit. During the liberation war, he showed his gallant in many occasions and was made a platoon havildar. He became Havildar within only 6 years of his service. As the war ended, his regiment (3rd East Bengal Regiment) was camped at Akhalia, Sylhet. There he was performing his routine tasks. At one afternoon, he went out in the locality where he came across a beautiful young girl with long hair named Hafiza who happened to be the third daughter of a local business man. They both looked at one another and smiled at once. Neither of them possibly thought that they would consequently be tied together to make a family. Hafiza was a young girl aged 15 or around that. As Siddique came back to his barracks, his thoughts were lost to find anything good about the girl he saw in the afternoon. He couldn't sleep well and got up early that morning.
